Zeroing in on a pa sage detailing purchases made by Humboldt from Capuchin monks before he ventured onto Venezuela’s Rio Apure, the two distillers were intrigued by the tamarind pods said to turn the brackish river water into a „refreshing lemonade.“ Shortly thereafter, they set about creating a tamarind cordial under the moniker of „Von Humboldt’s Natur Wa ser.““Most of the time, we’re limited by what we can grow here in the Northeast,“ says Power, „but this concept allowed us to spread outside with a more global ingredient list.“ Starting with the sweet and tart flavor profile of the tamarind, the distillers packed as much of the fruit as they could into neutral grain spirits, then added lemon zest and brown sugar to bring out some of the tangy, nutty tones already found in the tamarind. „We wanted to be really true to the flavor,“ says https://www.pistonsedge.com/Tony-Snell-JerseyOakes. „The tamarind is pretty versatile, with some fatty, creamy qualities,“ notes Power. „It plays well with rum and whisky, or in place of triple sec for a margarita.“ If Humboldt would be surprised to find his life’s work as inspiration for a cordial, then silent movie star Rudolph Valentino might be equally unprepared to be connected with a beer by way of a cocktail. Megan Parisi, head brewer at Sam Adams Nano Brewery in Boston, hadn’t heard of the 1922 silent film Blood and Sand, starring early 20th-century heartthrob Valentino, but she was a fan of the cocktail that bears the movie’s name: a blend of scotch, vermouth, Cherry Heering liqueur and a touch of blood orange juice. „I love scotch, and there aren’t many scotch-based cocktails,“ says Parisi, „so the Blood and Sand is one of my favorites. But then I got interested to learn more about the movie and how the cocktail evolved.“ A melodramatic tale of a doomed adulterous bullfighter, Blood and Sand was reported to be Valentino’s personal favorite performance, with the cocktail recipe by the same name first appearing in the 1930s Savoy Cocktail Book, just a few years immediately after Valentino’s own untimely death. Spiked with blood-red ingredients, the drink is as dramatic as its namesake. For Parisi, the trick was in translating that inspiration to a beer, which she says is not as easy as it sounds. „There’s no way to really mimic a cocktail in a beer,“ she says, „but you can reflect the flavors and the experience.“ She chose to focus on manipulating the grains at different temperatures to create more body and a higher alcohol content, which she felt would provide that scotch-like element. „You can get totally different beers just by making minor temperature changes,“ says Parisi, „so I was looking to get a little bit of smoke and lingering richne s.“ While the beer itself has a darker tone, imparted from a cherry smoked malt, Parisi didn’t want to be completely literal in her interpretation by producing a blood-red beer, instead relying on the label art of a matador zombie to provide visual references to the film. „You can paint https://www.pistonsedge.com/Caron-Butler-Jersey a flavor picture based on literature, music and movies without being too obvious,“ she says. „For instance, we did a beer based on the movie The Sixth Sense, and we used ghost pepper to bring just enough heat to be a little scary.“ Collaborating with visual artist Steven Klein, Scotch whisky company The Macallan crafted a limited edition single malt as part of their „Masters of Photography“ series, which has included photographers Annie Liebovitz and Mario Testino as contributors, among others. Klein created a short movie that focuses on the concept of capturing a moment in time, alluding to how integral time is to the making of whisky. Think the „mannequin challenge“ with an industrial-chic vibe. In Klein’s film, clouds of red smoke billowing behind the frozen-in-time models inspired master whisky maker Bob Dalgarno to choose Rioja red wine casks for aging the whisky, an unusual move for the distillery, according to Charles Whitfield, The Macallan’s manager of brand education and prestige whiskies. „This was the first time we ever used Rioja casks,“ says Whitfield, „but Steven’s film inspired us to innovate.“ The resulting whisky which is also peated to mimic the smokine s in the film, something not typically characteristic of The Macallan’s line has a pinkish-red hue with underlying tones of sweet berries. „The stereotype with whisky is that it’s boring and traditional,“ says Whitfield. „Collaborating with an artist like this allows us to break out of that mold.“ While The Macallan sees their collaborations with artists like Klein as a way to reach a new audience, the Tamworth distillers are hopeful that their Natur Wa ser project brings more attention to Humboldt’s work. „We’re trying to do him a service by learning a bit about what was valuable to him and sharing it with other people,“ says Power. „If that knowledge comes by way of a cocktail, why not?“

There is a good deal of cash to be obtained this week DraftKings including a top prize of $25k from the primary tournament. DK also has a lot of Qualifier contests on this week, where the final event will pay $50k into 1st if you did qualify to perform inside. I’ll be pursuing those as well since we’ve not ever had a $50k 1st place prize and I need it. We didn’t have one fight fall off but we still have a 13-fight card. This is a superb card to build your bankroll to get the first Sunday of NFL so it’s possible to chase that $1M.
Cash Game play of the week — Zabit Magomedsharipov ($9,400)
Zabit is going to be super chalky in tournament. Everybody who’d Shevchenko in their lineup is going to change to Zabit and he will probably be the most possessed fighter around the slate. In money games we do not really care about possession as much and I am going to be starting my money team with Zabit. I think he is the simplest triumph on the card plus he’s the highest ceiling as well. I think if you want to get sneaky and not utilize Zabit, the GPPs are the place to do that. Lock him in cash and take the win. Then you only have to find about 3 other wins and you should have a winning cash group.
GPP play of this week — Alex White ($8,600)
I believe Jim Miller is close to the end of his career and I am thinking this is going to be the final time we see him in the UFC. I think he’s going to be handed his 5th loss in a row here and I’m guessing it will be through knockout. I think Alex White is going to be too powerful and quick for Jim Miller at this stage in his career and I believe he will have the ability to keep this battle on the feet. With everyone paying for Zabit in GPPs, Alex White and a few other mid-range favorites might be a fantastic way to go to create your lineups more contrarian and try to find 1st place in a GPP like that. I do like White a good bit in this fight and I think he’s 100+ point potential at a $8.6additional salary. He is my GPP play of this week.
Underdog play of the week — Diego Sanchez ($7,300)
Diego Sanchez is my underdog play of the week since I don’t believe Craig White isn’t any good. Sanchez may be entirely taken, and if that is the situation he could get KO’d early. However, I really don’t think Craig White should be -200 against any UFC fighter. Diego is cheap enough where it allows you to find some of those higher favorites you like on your lineup, and now I believe he will get a decision win here. He will be my pick to win, however it’s not a certain pick and I believe he makes to get a much better GPP play than money punt.
Fade of the week — Aljamain Sterling ($8,500)
I’m looking forward to seeing this battle and I’ll be picking Aljo for the win here. My issue is that I don’t think he is quite likely to score highly, and perhaps not even 10x his wages. I think a whole lot of this fight will take place on the feet and Aljo doesn’t throw at a high enough pace to score well in a match that is spectacular. He will have to find this fight to the ground a few times and stand up some advance points for him to score tremendously. I just don’t see this happening. I believe this will be a very close fight and I would rather just pay up for any of the fighters above Sterling. I think we would be taking a look at a score around 70-75 DK points using an Aljo choice win here.
Thanks for reading this and decent luck this weekend! If You’d like my own full-card breakdown at which I breakdown every struggle about the card and give my entire DraftKings evaluation, in Addition to all of my pick predictions, you’ll find that for only $7.99 on this link below:

The Dragon Energy NASCAR Cup Series is at Martinsville Speedway this weekend, and with Kyle Busch winning at both Phoenix and Fontana within the last two weeks, he has been installed as a heavy favorite for today’s STP 500 at“The Paperclip“–and for good reason: Rowdy has not finished outside of the top 5 at this track since the 2014 season, and he’s led a combined 582 laps over the last four (and 937 over the previous six). Of course, when you have the preferred in +150 to triumph, so there is some great value in betting others in case that guy has issues throughout the race.

Last weekend in Car Club Speedway my favourite bets went 2-0, bringing my annual record to 5-3. I had Brad Keselowski to finish top 3, and his afternoon went south , so that was screwed from the start.

My Bets for Martinsville

Martin Truex, Jr.. Top 3 End (+200) — The races at Martinsville are usually predictable: we see the exact same faces up front again and again, and we don’t see Martin Truex, Jr. in victory lane. Where we do find himthough, is close enough to acquire if something goes wrong with the leader. Over the last three races at“The Paperclip,“ Truex has posted finishes of 3rd, 4th, and 2nd, although he starts back into 8th for today’s STP 500, he has one hell of a race car under him for to the front. The 19 Toyota rated #1 at 10-, 15-, 20-, and 30-lap average during the last practice session here on Saturday, and there’s likely to be lots of runs during the race. Truex will really shine during those. If you look at this week’s ranks by the Fantasy Racing Online algorithm, Truex is a really close 4th behind Logano, and if you take a look at recent trends by pole sitters in the spring Martinsville race, I’d give that edge to Truex.

Chris Buescher (+105) over Daniel Hemric — I’m honestly surprised Chris Buescher is not becoming more love this weekend. This #37 team has never finished worse than 18th because the Daytona 500, and they have got a good starting place for the current STP 500 (12th). Meanwhile, the Hemric will start from back in 28th, and has a tendency to hit the wall more frequently than not. We have got 500 laps to race in the present STP 500, and to be honest, I’m not sure he ends. On the other hand, Buescher has completed 13th, 23rd, 21st, and 11th in his last four Martinsville starts, and he’s running better than he’s likely ever ran. This one is a no brainer for me.

UFC 230 takes place on Saturday, November 3, 2018 at Madison Square Garden in New York, New York.

Heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier (21-1, 1 NC, 10 KOs, 4 SUBs) will defend his title against knockout artist Derrick Lewis (21-5, 18 KOs, 1 SUBs). The card airs live on pay-per-view 10pm ET that is starting.
Only one pay-per-view after the Khabib-McGregor superfight, the UFC is giving us a heavyweight title match. Plus it just so happens to feature one of UFC 229’s breakout star:“The Black Beast“ himself, Derrick Lewis. It is one matter to score a stunning, last-second comeback win in a battle you’re becoming dominated. However, Lewis topped that by following it up with the funniest post-fight interview in UFC history, on the greatest night in UFC history.
That is 1 way of becoming a celebrity. And today, the one-dimensional knockout artist who never actually seemed like a legitimate competitor is fighting to get the title under a month after having a beating at the hands of Alexander Volkov. Daniel Cormier’s probably drooling at the notion of a simple paycheck. It is going to also be his first title protection.
Regardless of the UFC declaring a banger of a storm involving middleweight hulks Yoel Romero and Paulo Costa, the massive Cuban has said that the fight won’t be taking place. Though we really hope this contest happens, we are apt to believe that the fighter when they said that they are not ready. Let us hope he heals up in time.
If those 185-pounders don’t get it on, there are still three mad great middleweight matchups to anticipate. The biggest of these is that a rematch between former winners Luke Rockhold and Chris Weidman, respectively rated No. 2 and No. 3. Perennial contender Ronaldo“Jacare“ Souza matches former WSOF champ David Branch, together with the two guys jockeying for a name position. The division’s most fascinating prospect, Israel Adesanya, sets his undefeated record on the line against No. 6 Derek Brunson. At times,“The previous Stylebender“ resembles the next coming of a prime Anderson Silva, and everybody is hoping that this dude is for real.
Have a peek at the scheduled fights below, and log into the sportsbook to see the lines for every fight on your card. Make certain that you check in during fight week to get comprehensive betting previews. UFC odds from BookMaker.eu are usually published during struggle week.

UFC 230 Betting Lines, Predictions and Picks
Here’s a weird story. In an interview with MMAJunkie just days following the Volkov fight, Lewis came out and stated that he had no urge to headline UFC 230. That he’d already begun eating breakfast biscuits and also his cardiovascular was nowhere near the amount it had to be in to virtually challenge for the name.
He ended that interview by saying that it’d have a giant paycheck to allow him to leap into a title fight with one of the finest to ever do it. Later that afternoon, Dana White announced that Lewis will be fighting for the title. Seems like somebody got PAID.
However, the UFC’s greed is showing here. Lewis was nearly finished multiple occasions, and it was clear he could not last five rounds. The UFC is placing him onto a card less than a month after? That is called exploiting a celebrity turn. And while we adore how honorable DC is, it sure seems like he is cherry picking here.
The previous time Weidman and Rockhold met, the AKA surfer boy cracked the former All-American wrestler and took the belt from him. Time has not softened the grudge between them both, and it was a close fight until that point. Rockhold has since been knocked out two, suggesting that his chin is a serious weakness. Coincidentally, Weidman suffered two brutal knockouts also before rebounding back against Kelvin Gastelum.
Both these middleweights are good everywhere, though they have different approaches in each stage. Rockhold’s submission grappling is topnotch, but Weidman is a leading classic wrestler. Weidman can box with all the best of them, but Luke’s unorthodox kicks can do significant damage.
Ronaldo Souza can’t seem to catch a rest. Among the most accomplished BJJ artists to enter the octagon, he has been in multiple name eliminators, just to fall short in each one. Beating David Branch likely would not seal the deal, but he could keep his name on a short list of worthy challengers. Branch could vault into the title mix by simply taking out the well-regarded Brazilian.
Israel Adesanya has what it takes to be a star: an engaging personality and more importantly, an electric fighting style. He’s clearly a exceptional striker, landing all of eight limbs with exceptional accuracy and power. Obviously, like all great standup artists, he’s got to pass the wrestler evaluation, also Derek Brunson – a former collegiate wrestler – is much more than capable to dish out that.
