There is a good deal of cash to be obtained this week DraftKings including a top prize of $25k from the primary tournament. DK also has a lot of Qualifier contests on this week, where the final event will pay $50k into 1st if you did qualify to perform inside. I’ll be pursuing those as well since we’ve not ever had a $50k 1st place prize and I need it. We didn’t have one fight fall off but we still have a 13-fight card. This is a superb card to build your bankroll to get the first Sunday of NFL so it’s possible to chase that $1M.
Cash Game play of the week — Zabit Magomedsharipov ($9,400)
Zabit is going to be super chalky in tournament. Everybody who’d Shevchenko in their lineup is going to change to Zabit and he will probably be the most possessed fighter around the slate. In money games we do not really care about possession as much and I am going to be starting my money team with Zabit. I think he is the simplest triumph on the card plus he’s the highest ceiling as well. I think if you want to get sneaky and not utilize Zabit, the GPPs are the place to do that. Lock him in cash and take the win. Then you only have to find about 3 other wins and you should have a winning cash group.
GPP play of this week — Alex White ($8,600)
I believe Jim Miller is close to the end of his career and I am thinking this is going to be the final time we see him in the UFC. I think he’s going to be handed his 5th loss in a row here and I’m guessing it will be through knockout. I think Alex White is going to be too powerful and quick for Jim Miller at this stage in his career and I believe he will have the ability to keep this battle on the feet. With everyone paying for Zabit in GPPs, Alex White and a few other mid-range favorites might be a fantastic way to go to create your lineups more contrarian and try to find 1st place in a GPP like that. I do like White a good bit in this fight and I think he’s 100+ point potential at a $8.6additional salary. He is my GPP play of this week.
Underdog play of the week — Diego Sanchez ($7,300)
Diego Sanchez is my underdog play of the week since I don’t believe Craig White isn’t any good. Sanchez may be entirely taken, and if that is the situation he could get KO’d early. However, I really don’t think Craig White should be -200 against any UFC fighter. Diego is cheap enough where it allows you to find some of those higher favorites you like on your lineup, and now I believe he will get a decision win here. He will be my pick to win, however it’s not a certain pick and I believe he makes to get a much better GPP play than money punt.
Fade of the week — Aljamain Sterling ($8,500)
I’m looking forward to seeing this battle and I’ll be picking Aljo for the win here. My issue is that I don’t think he is quite likely to score highly, and perhaps not even 10x his wages. I think a whole lot of this fight will take place on the feet and Aljo doesn’t throw at a high enough pace to score well in a match that is spectacular. He will have to find this fight to the ground a few times and stand up some advance points for him to score tremendously. I just don’t see this happening. I believe this will be a very close fight and I would rather just pay up for any of the fighters above Sterling. I think we would be taking a look at a score around 70-75 DK points using an Aljo choice win here.
